South Sudanese United Students’ Association in Uganda has downplayed the presidential order banning the singing of the national anthem in public gathering in his absence citing the “National Anthem” is a symbol of patriotism they will use to remember their brothers and sisters who laid their lives for the liberation of the country.

South Sudan media quoted Michael Makuei Lueth, the country’s information minister saying president Salva Kiir issued the directives
