Controversial Giligili piece of land likely to be settled in court

The tag of war is between Arua local government and Arua District Council. If the Local Government wins, the land would be turned into presidential demonstration farm. But if the Local Council, which assumes ownership of the property, wins, it would retain it as its own. The contest over nine-acre-Giligili piece of land has caused months of unending heated arguments in the district, reportedly from the point the presidential office expressed interests in the property. Eriku Maurice spoke with officers on both fronts, and brings us the story.
