Text books alongside other scholastic materials are the basic requirement for establishing a learning centre. In some westnile districts of Arua and Yumbe where most refugees from the neighbouring South Sudan took refuge, some schools do not have the capacity to avail the entire necessary requirement to qualify for a learning space.

Twajiji primary school in Arua district is one of the examples of these schools. In the above schools the ratio of learners to text books is equivalent to “one learner to one hundred text books.

However, A Canadian charity organization, the walking school bus Uganda introduces Simbi, a technology that will help teachers and students to improve their learning skills.
