An education response plan launched by Uganda and development partners in 2018 indicated that 57% of refugee children and 34% of their counterparts within local communities do not have access to education due to huge challenges they face everyday. But for those who beat the usual challenges, are always faced with yet another hurdle of lack for schools that offer higher education. A–well–disciplined–and patient student could be able to get education only up to the end of Ordinary level of secondary education. There is no Advanced level of education. There is no university, also. Authorities say they have done what they can, but at this moment their hands are handicapped due to shrinking funding towards refugee programs.
